PhotonCurl is building the next generation of electromagnetic hardware through a unified design and fabrication platform. Today’s systems are constrained by natural materials and human guided iteration on familiar geometries. Metamaterials open a larger design space by encoding functionality in geometry rather than chemistry, enabling responses that natural substances cannot provide and making those responses programmable.
PhotonCurl joins large scale modeling of light-matter interactions with structures. Engineers can specify a desired electromagnetic response in software, compile it into programmable metamaterial geometry, and fabricate the hardware that produces it. This creates a new foundation for antennas, optics, sensing, communications, and computing.
Phasor, the engine
Phasor is PhotonCurl’s electromagnetic simulation and design engine. It turns electromagnetic structures into computational design problems: engineers describe geometry, materials, sources, and desired behavior. Phasor assembles the model, runs it, exposes the resulting fields, and supports the next iteration.
It is built for massive workloads distributed across many accelerators, allowing simulation and design to explore spaces beyond manual iteration. Phasor is the computational half of PhotonCurl’s platform, connecting a desired electromagnetic function to programmable metamaterial geometry and closing the loop between physics and hardware.
